Our oilfields need large capacity SSDs for the Computer Monitoring System of drilling platform. I was the project leader. At that time, I could not find any SSDs which met our requirements. In the open market, the largest SSD capacity available is 1TB.

Then we found Waitan SSD. They provided us a solution of 48 TB with detailed technical know-how, and shared other SSD solutions cases of over 30 TB in the world. We have purchased two units of 8TB SSDs, and carefully checked the performance including read/write speed, IOPS, power-up time, vibration testing and thermal cycling. Our technical team found that that is what we need. Then we decided to purchase 6 sets of the 48TB PCIe SSD storage solutions. Although the prices are a little more expensive, the stability and sustainable performance of the high capacity PCIe solutions bring us values into our oilfields computer monitoring system of drilling platform deployed in hard environment.
